Creativity Meets Softness #KDWishlist

Creativity is something that all children are blessed with and it’s a wonderful thing when you find a product that helps to encourage that side of them. Sparkhead Kids is on a mission to do just that – inspire creativity in children while providing them with stylish bedding, photo prints, stories and more. Add to that – they are a Canadian company that is based out of Toronto!

We were lucky enough to get the Emerald Bear in Yellow from the Forest Friends Collection. You guys, you can not truly understand what I’m going to say until you get one for yourself and can really touch it. This is the SOFTEST thing I’ve laid my hands on. Ever. Not joking. These pillow covers are made out of velveteen and are so silky soft.

The prints on the cushions are made out of water based colors so they are safe for use by children and they are easy to care for – simply give them a quick hand wash and hang them to dry (or you could send them to the dry cleaner’s if you prefer…but really, no time for that!)

Zipper closure for easy cushion removal

Another thing I noticed right off the bat is that the feel of the cushion is the same even over the photo. Many times where there is a photo on material is does not feel as soft as the rest of the garment but I’m happy to say this is not the case with these. The colors of the prints are so bright and vibrant that the photos do not even begin to give you a true measure. The camera just doesn’t pick up how much they pop in real life. No need to worry about the colors fading to dull as they are also fade resistant. The sizing of the cushion covers is 18″ x 18″.

As soon as I opened up the package my boy was all over it and quickly claimed it for his own. I didn’t have a cushion that was the right size to fit it so he decided to stuff it with some of his stuffed animals instead of waiting for me to find one. He’s a texture kid – the softer the better, especially when he’s tired so he quickly replaced his regular pillow for the Sparkhead Kids case stuffed with toys.

Fresh out of the package and he claimed it…not even anything inside it yet!

Kaley received the Hummingbird cushion case (also from the Forest Friends Collection) and it is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail and brightness are beyond. The front is set in a blue background although you can also get it in white and the backing of the cover is a dark brown. The patterns are perfect for kids imagination – I can just hear the stories being created using the characters that are in the photos. As a mother of older children,  I not only see them as accessories for beds, but I also can see using them as the perfect accessory to a cottage/ vacation home as sofa throw pillows or comfy additions to reading nooks/window seats. I really love the quality of this washable fabric it’s super soft and cuddly and feels amazing against the skin.
